Essential Dream (A Frozen Universe)

I find myself in a realm where the law of entropy does not apply.

There is no decay and nothing ever changes.

Archons, beings whose task it is to uphold the laws of physics for a given universe, preside over a static world, cold and monomorphous.

I struggle to move something in this place - cause something to fall - but alas, I am paralyzed, and the Archons repeatedly and incessantly warn me of reprimand for my deviant thoughts.

But the full extent of my punishment is already upon me: To exist within their threatening and condemning gaze for all of eternity.

They do not possess the power to inflict any further penalty than this against me, but it is sufficient and hellish in its consequences.

For me there is no sleep, and change requires a sequence of events that does not exist. Does then my will matter? Not in this world, fixed and frozen.
